the zonebbs is looking for a new chat solution, and here is one of these, freedom chat.
you only need to create your channel and then chat on.
only when you register you need a password for your nickname.
there is also another chat solution, teamtalk v1.0
I thought freedom chat shut down. Has it reopened?
I think them asshole just have a different name. But it is still the same oh assholes.
fc is not a network to go anymore, take it from a former user. it's a piece of crap now
it is now Talking IRC and does not offer voice
IRC4Life offers Ventrilo in partership with Phantom-Net
so who owns fc now?
Freedom Chat sounded less geekier than Talking Irc.

freedom chat was more accessible for me to use before ace and all of them switched to Mirc. now, it's too confusing. unless your into it, I'd suggest not to try
Mirc is easy to use if you get the right one, the tirc client, talking mirc is not good, MWS is ok, but of course i think Mirc4Life is the better one
I use a free client called IamC. It's very simple and easy to use, with no fancy frills or things to get in the way. YOu have to learn a few commands, but it's worth it. However, i can't get it to work with that Talking Irc site.
I use mirc with speech and love it. It is quite easy to use for beginners as well. I used to use fc, but glad I swiched more control that way and you can be in more than one chan at once and what not. They are now talkingirc, and think the are "lete fux0rs" they're actually really anoying geeks that I go see sometimes. be carefull if you go one user will want to phone bone anything with a vag, and another will want to dominate you and things... yes things... lol I go on another irc network, but I've already mentioned it in another board so see there if you care.

The thing is, most of those listed nobody, well 3 or 4 people get on. might as well be nobody. fc used to be high traffic, don't know what happen there, and way back there was accessable chat.
ah accessible chat what the zone pretty much was before there was the zone... I heard some freaky rumors about the administration of that place and young girls and that scares me. I was a young girl... creepy.

Whenever I use an irc client, I use the mIrc client and the talkingIrc script. The script is very easy to use and it doesn't take a while to figure out.
